Ultimo's Stan Lee & Hiroyuki Takei at Comic-Con

Viz Media has announced that both creators of the Ultimo action manga — American comic pioneer Stan Lee and Shaman King creator Hiroyuki Takei — will appear at the publisher's Shonen Jump panel at San Diego's Comic-Con International on July 24. Both men will also sign autographs at Viz's booth that afternoon after the panel. According to Viz, "the first 40 fans to purchase the July issue of Shonen Jump magazine featuring Ultimo from the Viz Media retail area each day from Wednesday through Friday will receive a ticket to have their issue personally autographed by Lee and Takei."

Stan Lee is best known for co-creating many of Marvel Comics' most famous superheroes: Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and more. Takei launched Ultimo after finishing six years of Shaman King in 2004, although he still found time this year draw the new "true" ending to the abbreviated story.
